Today, the Protontherapy Center of the Curie Institute treated the first child for a brain tumor, with the isocentric gantry and Dosisoft is proud to be associated with this success.
Dosisoft, by leaning on its expertise in protontherapy, within the framework of extension and modernization project of the Protontherapy Center of the Curie Institute, brought its solution of protontherapy planning. The Protontherapy Center of the Curie Institute, having recently been equipped with a new generation protons accelerator, has chosen to use the solution proposed by DOSIsoft, capable to model the new machine, built by IBA.
Combining its know-how in protontherapy planning, that it has since its creation in 2002, and the power of its software in radiotherapy ISOgray, DOSIsoft developed a protontherapy planning system, fast and powerful, thanks to its strong calculations algorithms. Its protontherapy solution can be a fully independent solution, as it can be perfectly integrated within the complete TPS solution for photons, electrons, protons, and brachytherapy. This software solution is based on a choice of optimal methods of calculations to obtain speed and precision.
